President Bola Tinubu has ruled out claims that his administration uses the EFCC to intimidate opposition politicians amid recent defections to the ruling APC.

The statement was issued on Sunday in Abuja by presidential spokesman Bayo Onanuga, following accusations from opposition figures who say democracy is under strain.

The Presidency said politicians who have moved to the APC did so by choice, driven by belief in Tinubu’s policies and reform plans, not by force or threats.
