FUOYE Welcomes Over 11,000 New Students

The Federal University Oye Ekiti has matriculated 11,327 newly admitted students into its academic community during a ceremony held at its Oye Ekiti and Ikole Ekiti campuses.

The matriculation took place on Monday, bringing together fresh students, university officials, parents, and guests to formally admit the new intakes for the academic session.

Vice Chancellor Abayomi Fasina led the ceremony, using the occasion to address the students on the values expected of them as members of the university.

He urged the students to build their lives on strong values such as honesty, integrity, curiosity, resilience, and a genuine love for learning, noting that challenges are part of life and can be overcome with the right mindset.

Fasina explained that the university experience goes beyond lectures and exams, encouraging students to take part in volunteering, service, and activities that support personal growth and discipline.

The students took the matriculation oath to mark their official entry into the institution, as the university leadership expressed confidence that they would uphold the school’s standards and contribute positively to its growing reputation.
