Speaking with journalists in Lafia on Wednesday after an expanded State Executive Council meeting, Ninga described the convention as a key moment for the PDP to rebuild and reposition itself. He said the exercise would renew the party’s internal cohesion and boost its readiness to compete effectively at both state and national levels.
According to him, the PDP in Nasarawa is more determined than ever to reclaim political ground and restore its influence. He said the convention would help address internal disputes and set a clear direction for the party’s future.
Ninga pledged that under his leadership, all members would be given equal opportunities, especially those seeking elective offices in the 2027 elections. He said inclusiveness and fairness would guide the party’s decisions going forward.
He added that delegates from Nasarawa would conduct themselves responsibly during the convention and support the emergence of competent leaders capable of leading the PDP to victory.
Ninga also revealed that women would play an active role in the exercise, with four delegate slots allocated to them from each of the state’s 13 local government areas.
