Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, has declared that the All Progressives Congress (APC) will win all 177 wards in the June 20, 2026 governorship election.

Speaking on Saturday at his ward in Ikogosi-Ekiti during the party’s delegates congress, Oyebanji said his administration’s achievements and the growing unity within the APC had positioned the party for a historic victory.

He said delegates were peacefully elected by consensus across all wards, describing the process as proof of harmony between party leaders and members. The governor added that the APC had become more attractive to citizens because of its performance in governance and growing membership.

“With God on our side, the record we aim to break on June 20 next year is to win all 177 wards. It has never happened before, but APC will do it,” Oyebanji said.
The APC National Working Committee had earlier confirmed Oyebanji as the party’s consensus candidate after Mrs. Atinuke Olayemi Omolayo withdrew, leaving him unopposed for the 2026 governorship race. Two other aspirants, Kayode Ojo and Abimbola Olawumi, were disqualified.
Chairman of the APC Delegates Congress Committee for Ekiti, Jaret Tenebe, who monitored the exercise, commended the peaceful conduct of the congress and praised Oyebanji for uniting the party.
He expressed confidence that the spirit of cooperation witnessed at the ward level would translate into victory for the APC in the 2026 poll.
