In a message shared on X on Sunday, Obi said Nigeria is blessed but continues to suffer from poor governance, insecurity, and hunger because of failed leadership. He noted that God has already blessed the nation and will not descend to elect leaders on behalf of the people.

Obi, who spoke at the National Youth Rally marking the 40th anniversary of the Catholic Youth Organisation of Nigeria in Awka, told participants that the voter’s card remains the most powerful tool against bad leadership.

He urged youths, especially those just turning 18, to get registered and avoid selling their votes, warning that doing so also means selling their future, education, and healthcare.

“To build a better Nigeria, we must choose leaders with competence, capacity, compassion, and character,” he said.

Obi commended Nigerian youths for their growing resolve to take action rather than just complain, stressing that honesty, determination, and unity are key to achieving real change.
