Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei moved to secure location under heightened security

Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has been transferred to a secure location inside the country with heightened security measures in place, two regional officials briefed by Tehran told Reuters.

The sources said Iran was in constant contact with Lebanon’s Hezbollah and other regional proxy groups to determine the next step after Israel announced that it had killed Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah in a strike on south Beirut on Friday.

IDF on Saturday posted “Hassan Nasrallah will no longer be able to terrorise the world” on X, putting an end to speculation over the Hezbollah leader’s whereabouts following overnight strikes in Lebanon.

However, Hezbollah said that their leader had not died and was shifted to a safer location.Following this Khamenei convened an emergency session of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council.Earlier this week, Khamenei, while slamming Israel over striking Hezbollah in Lebanon, said that the terrorist group will never be weakened even after the deaths of its commanders.
