EFCC Arrests Former Taraba Governor Ishaku Over Alleged N27bn fraud

The operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have arrested the immediate past governor of Taraba State, Darius Ishaku, over alleged N27 billion fraud.

It was gathered that Ishaku, who served as Taraba State Governor between 2015 and 2023, was arrested at his residence in Abuja on Friday, September 27, 2024.

It was further learnt that the former governor is still in the EFCC custody in Abuja as of the time of filing this report.

Ishaku’s arrest was confirmed by the spokesperson for the anti-graft agency, Dele Oyewale, on Friday.
