The four years kingship tussle in Orin- Ekiti in Ido/Osi Local Government Area of Ekiti State has been resolved as the court declared the legality of His Royal Majesty, Oba Olufemi Adeniran Ajibewa.
The immediate past Governor of the state, Dr Kayode Fayemi, in 2020 presented the Staff of Office to Oba Ajibewa, but the Famokiti royal family filed a suit against the Ekiti State Government over the appointment of Oba Ajibewa, claiming the king was not entitled to the throne.

In his judgement, Justice Adekunle Adeleye of Ekiti State High Court, Ado- Ekiti on Wednesday affirmed that Oba Ajibewa is legally entitled to the throne.
Justice Adeleye dismissed the suit with no option to appeal.

Speaking after the judgement, Prince Adewale Ajibewa appealed to the people of Orin – Ekiti to join hands with his uncle to move the town forward.
He said the town can not have a taste of good thing if all hands are not on deck, adding that the town has lost many things because the indigenes are not united.
Prince Ajibewa also urged the three ruling houses in Orin -Ekiti to close rank and lead the community well.
