Yesterday, it was reported that the judicial Governor of Osun State, Gboyega Oyetola came for an inspection of comedic asphaltic overlaying of some 2km road which hitherto was itself in the old form passable. That is not the news. The news is that Oyetola in a clear indictment of his surrogates both self imposed and of course officially recognized Agents who had frequently inter alia visited the snail pace site brought in strange Guests yesterday.

Maybe Oyetola was right as far as their APC politics was concerned. Every time the APC mob crowd had been to the site, it was a Gordy situation of dejection and rejection by the often visibly angered but loving Indigenes and Residents of Ede. The Ede people despise the judicial regime because they new that the mandate of an Ede Son – Ademola Adeleke was brazenly snatched to the advantage of the present occupier of the office.

May we ask what business was theatre icons such as Adebayo Salami, Odunlade Adekola, Mr Latin and about 20 others films industry workers have on a refurbished road asphalt overlaying? Are the Engineers or construction Experts? Unfortunately Oyetola hasn’t learnt any lesson from the grand misnomers of his Predecessor in office to realize that the government of cosmetics can not hoodwink a savvy people that our Osun voters are.

Even Rauf Aregbesola as controversial as he was will do better than the jamboree which can only pass for a show of jests in governance as exhibited yesterday. Apart from the imported crowd which followed the Governor from Oshogbo which is pregnant up to half, plus the APC remnants in Ede, despite near #20 million wasted and expended on the theatre people, they still could not turn out impressive crowd capable of winning a ward in a politically sophisticated town like Ede. It was shameful that #20 million is now down the drain, with resultant and apparent less than 100 demeaning people who followed Oyetola. He was even at a maternity centre at Ojo Aro axis which was reconstructed with World Health Organization the WHO grant but has remained unutilized for many months because there are no supportive basic equipments and drugs at the facility. This is exactly the fate of the newly abandoned new fire station in Ede.
