Amaechi, Ray Ekpu And Others Take Top Roles In LNC

The League of Nigerian Columnists has named new officers to strengthen its leadership, with veteran journalist Ray Ekpu appointed Vice President.

Martins Oloja will serve as Membership Secretary, while Ikechukwu Amaechi takes over as Communications Secretary.
The appointments were announced in a statement issued by Secretary-General Prof. Anthony Kila and confirmed by President Chief Tola Adeniyi.
The League said the new officials were chosen because of their long records of professionalism, integrity and dedication to journalism.
Adeniyi said the appointments would help the association promote quality journalism, independent thinking and responsible public debate.
Oloja pledged to expand the League’s membership, while Amaechi promised to improve its public communication and visibility.
The new appointments take immediate effect and form part of the League’s plan to boost member participation and strengthen its place as a leading body for Nigerian columnists and public commentators.
