He made the remarks on Friday during an appearance on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily, where he defended his leadership of the party.
Abure also dismissed claims that he was working with the ruling All Progressives Congress to weaken the Labour Party.
He said the allegation was false and did not reflect his role in the party’s activities.
He argued that his support for Peter Obi’s presidential ambition showed he had worked for the progress of the Labour Party rather than against it.
According to him, his actions over the years are clear evidence of his commitment.
The factional chairman maintained that the Labour Party made major progress under his leadership.
He insisted that accusations linking him to efforts to damage the party have no basis and should be disregarded.
