The result emerged from Ward 2 in Ekiti South-West Local Government Area.
The ward is the hometown of Bejide, making the outcome an early setback for the ADC candidate as votes continue to be counted across the state.
The result also handed the APC an early boost in the contest.
At Polling Unit 004, Oyebanji recorded 140 votes to lead the race comfortably. Bejide secured 37 votes in his home polling unit, while the Peoples Democratic Party trailed with just two votes.
With collation still underway in other parts of Ekiti, attention remains on the remaining results to determine the overall winner of the governorship election.
