The Peoples Democratic Party has rejected claims made by the Kabiru Tanimu Turaki-led group over a recent Court of Appeal decision, accusing them of misleading the public about the ruling.

The party said the interpretation being circulated does not reflect what the court actually decided.

The PDP stated that the Court of Appeal did not cancel its existing caretaker structure or alter the status of its current National Working Committee.

It added that the case was dismissed because it was already settled in earlier judgments and could not be reopened.

The party also insisted that a Federal High Court ruling delivered in January 2026 remains valid.

In its reaction, the party dismissed reports suggesting that the appellate court made comments affecting senior members of the legal and political leadership within the PDP.

It also accused some individuals of circulating edited copies of the judgment to create a false impression of the court’s position.

The party called for investigation by security agencies and urged legal regulatory bodies to take action against any lawyer found to have misrepresented the ruling.

The dispute adds to ongoing tensions within the PDP as rival groups continue to struggle for control ahead of the 2027 elections.
