I Know Politicians Behind Bandits – Igboho
Yoruba Nation activist Sunday Adeyemo has alleged that some politicians are backing banditry and kidnapping activities across parts of Nigeria.
Speaking in Ibadan while hosting leaders of the National Association of Nigerian Students, he said he possesses information about individuals allegedly linked to criminal groups operating in affected areas.
The activist said he had offered to assist in rescuing pupils abducted in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State but claimed the state government did not approve his involvement.
He maintained that criminal groups could be driven out of their hideouts if security operations were intensified.
Igboho also alleged that certain political figures were working to create instability and weaken public confidence in the administration of Bola Tinubu.
He claimed some actors were using insecurity and misinformation to frustrate the government and fuel public anxiety.
The activist further spoke about his proposed security network, saying he received support at the federal level but faced resistance locally.
He added that his main concern remains the safety of abducted children, while neither the Oyo State Government nor those mentioned in his allegations had responded as of the time of reporting.
