Nigeria Refinery Tops World Jet Fuel Market
The Dangote Refinery in Nigeria recorded the highest jet fuel exports globally in April, supported by rising production and supply disruptions in parts of the Middle East.
The development places the facility at the centre of global refined fuel trade for the period under review.
The refinery’s output increased as operations continued to stabilise, allowing it to push more jet fuel into international markets.
This boost in production helped it meet growing demand from regions affected by reduced supply flows.
Supply challenges in the Middle East also contributed to the shift in global trade patterns, opening space for alternative exporters.
Dangote Refinery was able to fill part of the gap, strengthening its presence in the aviation fuel market.
Industry observers say the performance reflects the refinery’s growing capacity and its role in reshaping fuel supply routes.
They note that sustained output could further position Nigeria as a key player in global refined product exports.
