ADC Screens Over 70 Governorship Aspirants For 2027
The African Democratic Congress has screened more than 70 governorship aspirants as part of preparations for its 2027 primary elections.
The exercise took place in Abuja and drew participants from several states across the country.
Party members described the screening as orderly and fair, with aspirants appearing before panels to submit documents and answer questions.
The process was held in multiple sessions to accommodate the large number of contestants.
Several political figures, including former governors, lawmakers and other top aspirants, took part in the exercise.
Some participants expressed confidence in the party’s growing influence and its chances in the 2027 elections.
The ADC also confirmed that additional screening and internal processes will continue ahead of its governorship and presidential primaries as it works to finalise its candidates.
