Nigerian and United States forces have killed Abu-Bilal al-Minuki, a senior ISIS commander linked to terrorist operations across West Africa.

The operation was confirmed by the Defence Headquarters on Saturday after a joint counterterrorism mission.

The military said the terrorist leader was connected to the 2018 Dapchi schoolgirls abduction in Yobe State, including the case of Leah Sharibu who remains in captivity.
