The anti-graft agency had charged the former minister with 12 counts linked to alleged financial crimes while he served in office.

Prosecutors accused him of involvement in unlawful financial dealings connected to public funds.

In his ruling, the judge said the prosecution successfully proved its case beyond reasonable doubt.

The court therefore found Mamman guilty on all the charges brought against him by the EFCC.

The conviction marks another major corruption case involving a former member of the federal cabinet.

Sentencing and other legal procedures are expected to follow after the court’s verdict.
