Speaking through his aide in Osogbo, he claimed the opposition was acting out of fear of defeat as the poll draws closer. The allegation comes amid rising political tension in the state.

The governor said internal surveys linked to the APC showed weak support for the party while his approval ratings remained high.

He argued that this gap has pushed some opposition figures to consider undemocratic tactics.

He also claimed that failed attempts to influence other political platforms have added to the pressure within the APC camp.

Adeleke linked the situation to recent remarks about the stance of Bola Ahmed Tinubu on the election, saying the absence of outside interference has unsettled parts of the opposition.

He maintained that voters in Osun are ready to decide the outcome at the ballot box without manipulation.

In response, APC spokesperson Kola Olabisi rejected the claims and said the governor is worried about losing.

He pointed to defections of key figures from Adeleke’s camp and insisted the ruling party in the state is gaining ground ahead of the election.
