The company said it has not approved any such sales. It urged Nigerians to be cautious of scammers.

NNPC stated that it has not issued any bids, tenders or approvals for selling materials from its refineries.

It clarified that no items are being sold from facilities in Port Harcourt, Warri or Kaduna.

The company described the circulating claims as misleading and untrue. It stressed that no agent has been authorised for such deals.

The company also revealed that some individuals are posing as its representatives to defraud the public. It warned that these persons are not linked to the organisation.

Members of the public were advised to ignore such offers. It also urged victims to report suspicious activities to authorities.

NNPC said any legitimate sale of assets would follow clear and transparent procedures. Such processes, it added, would be announced through official channels.

The company reaffirmed its commitment to accountability and proper management of national assets.

The warning comes amid ongoing concerns over the state of its refineries.
