It forms part of a wider internal restructuring within the Nigeria Police Force.

The memo, sent to top police officials and commands, directed the movement of officers from CSP to ASP ranks to states including the FCT, Lagos, Rivers, Kogi and Nasarawa.

It warned that any officer attempting to influence postings would face “severe disciplinary action.”

The reshuffle followed ongoing changes within the force, including the dismantling of the Special Investigation Unit and redeployment of its personnel.

Officers linked to the former PMU leadership were among those moved as part of efforts to rebalance operations and staffing nationwide.

The changes come after the removal of former PMU head Akin Fakorede, whose tenure had drawn criticism over past conduct and allegations tied to his service record.
