The new entrants include ex-governorship aspirant Ncheta Omerekpe and other political figures from key local government areas.

The development follows a wave of defections from parties such as the PDP, APC and ADC, as stakeholders shift allegiance. The governor assured the new members that they would enjoy equal rights and opportunities within the party.

Otti said, “So, as you are joining today, you have the same status as me. If you want to be governor, then you can come and contest with me.
“What distinguishes the Labour Party from other political parties is that once you become a member, you start enjoying the same privileges as others,” he said.
He also spoke about ongoing projects in the state, including plans for an airport city in Nsulu.
According to him, the project will create jobs and boost the economy, adding that it will bring long-term benefits to residents despite initial concerns.
