The inspection covered key routes including the Airport Road–Kuje junction and several interchanges handled by top contractors.
During the visit, Wike expressed satisfaction with the pace of construction and said the projects are on track for inauguration to mark the third anniversary of Bola Tinubu’s administration.
He also praised contractors for creating alternative routes to reduce hardship for commuters while work continues.
The tour turned political as Wike responded to claims by Bala Mohammed, who accused him of working against the Peoples Democratic Party.
Wike dismissed the allegation and criticised the governor, accusing him of inconsistency and political opportunism.
He maintained that the PDP remains active despite internal disputes and rejected suggestions that he was undermining the party.
Wike also questioned Mohammed’s recent moves and insisted his support for the president does not affect his loyalty to the PDP.
