The decision followed a convention held in Abuja.
The commission listed Abdulrahman Mohammed as National Chairman and Samuel Anyanwu as National Secretary, alongside other officials who emerged through a consensus arrangement after the caretaker committee was dissolved.
The move gives official backing to one side in the party’s leadership dispute.
The recognition is expected to deepen the crisis within the PDP, as rival groups continue to contest control of the party.
Another faction led by Tanimu Turaki, with support from Bala Mohammed and Seyi Makinde, has rejected the outcome and is pursuing legal action.
The dispute has its roots in earlier conventions and court rulings, including a Court of Appeal decision that nullified a previous gathering.
With the case now before the Supreme Court, the battle over PDP leadership continues ahead of the 2027 elections.
