Kwankwaso Son Resigns From NNPP, Joins New Party
In Nigeria, Mustapha Rabiu Kwankwaso, son of Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has resigned from the New Nigeria Peoples Party and is set to join the African Democratic Congress.
He made the announcement on Monday through his social media page.
The move follows what he described as a careful decision to leave his former party.
He confirmed that he has already begun the process of joining the ADC as part of a new political direction.
He said his choice was based on his belief that the ADC offers a better platform to drive change, especially in Kano State.
He also pointed to the party’s focus on governance, economic growth, and public welfare.
Mustapha, who is also a key figure in the Kwankwasiyya movement, said he remains committed to working with others to achieve development goals as political alignments continue ahead of the 2027 elections.
