Fintiri Nominees Clear Assembly Screening
The Adamawa State House of Assembly has approved three commissioner nominees sent by Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri to serve in the state executive council.
The decision was reached after the nominees appeared before lawmakers for screening at the Assembly.
The confirmation took place in Yola where members of the House reviewed the credentials and suitability of the candidates nominated by the governor.
Lawmakers later endorsed the appointments, clearing the way for them to assume their roles in the state government.
The move follows the governor’s earlier communication to the Assembly requesting legislative approval for the nominees.
The screening process forms part of the constitutional procedure required before commissioners can formally take office.
With the confirmation completed, the new commissioners are expected to join the executive council and assist in the administration of government affairs across various sectors in Adamawa State.
