Traditional rulers, led by the Sapeyi of Garki, Usman Nga Kupi, had asked for stronger action to secure native lands and protect settlements.

In response, Wike said his administration would address long standing land concerns and ensure fair treatment for local communities across the FCT.

He told residents that President Bola Tinubu directed him to stay connected with grassroots communities and restore confidence in governance.

He recalled earlier meetings when insecurity was high and said progress has since been made, including the completion of the Saburi Road project requested by AMAC.

The minister also warned against politicians who only visit communities during election periods.

He promised continued engagement with traditional leaders and stakeholders to resolve disputes and prevent the displacement of indigenous residents while pushing development across the capital.
