Wike Speaks On PDP Future
The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has expressed concern over the state of the Peoples Democratic Party but maintained that the party will recover from its present troubles.
Speaking at a media briefing in Abuja on Monday, Wike defended his political stance and reaffirmed his loyalty to the PDP.
He said he would always stand by his convictions and focus on decisions that serve the public interest rather than seek approval.
The minister also stressed that public office holders must concentrate on their assigned duties.
According to him, each official should function within the limits of their role to ensure effective governance.
While admitting he is worried about developments within the PDP, Wike said he remains confident that the party will bounce back.
He also dismissed the belief that a presidential hopeful must control many governors to win an election, adding that leadership requires compromise and practical results.
