APC Adjusts Faces For 2026 Convention
The All Progressives Congress has adjusted the leadership of its Central Coordination Committee for the 2026 National Convention, naming former Katsina State governor Aminu Bello Masari as chairman.
The decision was announced from the party’s National Secretariat in Abuja as preparations for the convention gather pace.
The party said the changes followed consultations with its leadership and stakeholders, noting that the committee was reshaped to reflect zoning needs within the party.
In its statement, the APC said, “In further consultation with the leadership and national stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC), the Central Coordination Committee for the 2026 National Convention has been reconstituted as listed below.”
It also disclosed that more teams will be unveiled to support the planning process.
According to the statement, “Sub-committees of the Central Coordination Committee will be constituted and announced in due course.”
Under the new arrangement, Masari will lead the committee, with former Senate President Anyim Pius Anyim named Vice Chairman I.
Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq takes the role of Vice Chairman II, while Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma becomes Treasurer and Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni serves as Secretary.
