FCTA Orders Full Work Resumption
Workers under the Federal Capital Territory Administration have been instructed to return to their duty posts following a directive issued by the Head of Service of the FCT.
The order comes after days of disruption to government activities in the nation’s capital.

The directive affects all FCTA employees across ministries, departments and agencies in Abuja. It follows recent legal and administrative steps taken to restore normal operations after the industrial action that slowed public services.
According to the instruction, all workers are expected to resume work from tomorrow, bringing an end to the work stoppage that affected offices and service delivery across the territory. The move is aimed at restoring routine government functions and public access to services.
Permanent Secretaries, Heads of Departments and Heads of Agencies have been directed to ensure strict monitoring of attendance. They are to maintain staff attendance registers to confirm compliance and ensure workers are fully present at their duty posts.
The FCTA leadership says the measure is part of efforts to stabilise the system, enforce discipline, and ensure government offices function effectively as normal activities resume across the capital.
