Oyo APC To Start e- registration Membership

The All Progressives Congress in Oyo State says it is confident the ongoing electronic membership registration will run smoothly and draw a large response across the state before it ends later this month.

Party leaders said the exercise, which is part of a nationwide registration drive, aims to capture the details of both old and new members into a central digital system to strengthen internal organisation and future planning.

According to the party, early setbacks slowed the start of the process in Oyo, mainly due to logistics. These issues were later resolved through joint efforts by leaders and stakeholders, allowing registration to proceed without disruption across the state.

The party projected that at least 350,000 members would be successfully registered in Oyo State by January 30. It added that the growing membership would be mobilised to support its plans ahead of the 2027 general elections, including efforts to boost its performance and regain political control in the state.

Residents across all 33 local government areas were encouraged to take part in the exercise by visiting designated centres with the required identification details.

The party said participation would allow members to play active roles in party affairs and show support for its national agenda.
