Tia Solarin Road Completed By Abiodun
Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun has announced the completion of Tai Solarin Road in Ikenne, bringing relief to residents after years of poor access and neglect.
The project forms part of his administration’s wider push to fix roads that affect daily movement and local trade.
The road, located in Ikenne town, had long been in a bad state, making travel difficult and slowing business activities. Its rehabilitation now offers a smoother link within the town and serves as an alternative route when the main expressway is congested.
The governor said the work has helped revive economic life in the area, with traders returning and residents moving freely again. According to him, the improved road has restored confidence around the local market, where people can now stop, park, and trade without fear.
He also pointed to the cultural and educational importance of Ikenne, noting that the renewed road improves access to historic sites and schools, including Mayflower School. The development is expected to make daily life easier for students, workers, and visitors.
Abiodun added that his government remains focused on infrastructure projects that improve living conditions and open up economic opportunities across Ogun State, saying the Tai Solarin Road project reflects that ongoing commitment.
