The alert came from the Northern CAN Chairman, Rev. John Joseph Hayab.
He spoke in Kaduna during an interaction with journalists, saying the alleged plots target states such as Niger, Kwara, and Kogi.

According to him, the attacks are aimed at dragging the region into a Christian versus Muslim conflict rather than addressing the real security problem.
Rev. Hayab said the intention of the attackers is to divide Nigerians along religious lines, but insisted the plan must fail. He urged citizens to resist being drawn into hatred and instead push the government and security agencies to confront the real enemies behind the violence.

He stressed that every life lost in Nigeria affects the whole country, no matter the faith or background of the victim. He noted that violence against any group weakens the shared humanity that binds Nigerians together.
Calling for unity, the CAN leader said no group has the right to force others out of the North. He urged Christians and Muslims to stand together, expose anyone who kills in the name of religion, and protect the peace and future of the region.
