ADC Says Hunger Will Sink APC in 2027

Leaders of the African Democratic Congress in Oyo State say growing hunger and economic pressure across Nigeria will push voters to reject the All Progressives Congress in the 2027 general elections.

They spoke during a public event where several members of the Peoples Democratic Party switched camps in Egbeda Local Government Area.
The comments were made in Ibadan during the formal reception of the defectors at Alakia.

The event was led by the ADC leadership in Egbeda, with party officials and supporters in attendance as the new members were unveiled.
The ADC governorship hopeful in the state and the party chairman said Nigerians have lost trust in the ruling party due to rising living costs, poor power supply, and daily hardship. They argued that many families are struggling to survive, making it difficult for the APC to retain public support.

The party leaders also said the PDP no longer commands influence in Oyo State, claiming it has failed to offer clear direction or strong leadership. According to them, many former PDP and Labour Party members are now moving toward a new political alliance.
The ADC leaders said their party is gaining ground because of its internal structure and open process for choosing candidates. They expressed confidence that the ADC will emerge stronger in Oyo State and play a major role nationally in the 2027 elections.
