Galadima’s appointment comes after more than three decades of work in urban planning within the Federal Capital Territory Administration. He built his career in the Department of Development Control under the Abuja Metropolitan Management Council and also served in the Satellite Towns Development Agency.

He rose to become the Director of Development Control in 2016, a position he held until he retired from the civil service last month. Over the years, he was involved in key ministerial committees that handled critical issues such as the Abuja Masterplan Restoration Task Team, the review of revoked titles, and land use adjustments.

Wike’s decision to bring him back into public service is seen as a move to strengthen development regulation in the capital. Galadima’s long experience in planning and land administration is expected to guide ongoing and future reforms in the FCT.

His appointment takes effect immediately, placing him at the centre of policy oversight for development control and planning activities across Abuja.
