The decision followed a meeting of the association’s National Executive Council, where members reviewed the government’s commitments to address their demands. The doctors agreed to return to work while talks with the authorities continue.

Hospitals across Nigeria are expected to resume full services as resident doctors begin duties immediately.

NARD said it will closely monitor the government’s timelines and warned that it will not hesitate to take further action if the agreements reached are not honoured.
