Obi Condemns Deadly Attacks In Kebbi And Zamfara

The attacks took place at Maga Comprehensive Girls’ Secondary School in Kebbi, where several students were taken and a staff member lost his life. In Zamfara, armed men struck Fegin Baza village in Tsafe LGA, leaving three people dead and dozens abducted.

Obi issued a message expressing sorrow over the events, describing the killings and kidnappings as a painful blow to families already living under fear. He said the latest assaults have again exposed the dangers facing schoolchildren and rural communities.

He called on the government at all levels to strengthen security operations, rescue the abducted students, and prevent further raids on schools and villages. He urged authorities to rebuild public trust by acting decisively against the attackers.

Obi said the families of the victims are facing unimaginable grief and uncertainty. He extended prayers for those killed and asked for strength for the affected households. He also urged security agencies to stay focused as they work to bring the schoolgirls home.

He ended his message with a reminder that Nigerians deserve peace and that children should never be left at the mercy of violent groups.
