Olumekun explained that the next phase would involve a detailed assessment and verification of all submitted documents to ensure full compliance with the 1999 Constitution, the Electoral Act 2022, and INEC’s 2022 Guidelines for Political Parties.

He said the Commission remains committed to transparency, inclusivity, and the deepening of Nigeria’s democratic system.

This update follows INEC’s earlier announcement on September 11, 2025, regarding the ongoing process for the registration of new political parties.
