Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Media and Public Communications, Sunday Dare, has urged Nigerian youths to take advantage of empowerment programmes introduced by the administration.

Speaking to over 24,000 young people at the Arise Congress 2.0 themed “The Emergence of Champions” at the Baptist International Convention Centre along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Dare said the policies were designed to provide opportunities for young Nigerians to thrive.

According to a State House statement on Thursday, the programme, which started on Wednesday, will run until Saturday.

Dare highlighted the importance of discipline, determination, and self-motivation in achieving success, stressing that his message was not political but an encouragement for youths to make use of existing opportunities to improve their lives and communities.
He listed some of the initiatives under Tinubu’s administration, including the NELFUND tuition loans and stipends currently benefiting over 600,000 students, the Renewed Hope Conditional Cash Transfer aimed at providing affordable housing for three million vulnerable households, and food security measures such as the release of thousands of metric tons of grains from federal reserves and emergency nutrition support in states.
The event also had in attendance the President of the Nigerian Baptist Convention, Rev. Israel Akanji; Director of Youth and Student Ministries, Rev. Dr. S. Olawuyi James; Central Planning Committee Chairman, Rev. Dr. Israel Kristilere; Rev. Michael Onyegbu; leadership coach Fela Durotoye; and Ogun State Commissioner of Police, CP Lanre Ogunlowo.
