Osun Workers Hold Solidarity Rally For Adeleke

Public servants in Osun State on Thursday held a solidarity rally at the State Secretariat, Abere, to welcome Governor Ademola Adeleke from his short vacation abroad and to show support for his administration.

The rally, led by the Head of Service, Elder Aina, drew a large turnout of workers and labour leaders who praised the governor for prioritising their welfare since assuming office.

Osun NLC Chairman, Comrade Christopher Arapasopo, described Adeleke’s administration as a workers’ government, declaring the labour union’s endorsement of the governor for a second term. He said workers remain firmly behind Adeleke, citing his record of achievements in public service.

The TUC Chairman, Comrade Bimbo Fasasi, echoed the position, stressing that workers would resist any attempt to return the state “to the past” and affirming their full support for the governor.

NULGE Chairman, Comrade Kehinde Ogungbangbe, also backed Adeleke, warning against tampering with local government accounts without union signatories. He thanked the governor for ensuring prompt payment of salaries despite financial pressures.

Joint Negotiation Committee Chairman, Comrade Lekan Adediran, further declared that all workers’ unions in the state are united in their endorsement of Adeleke for re-election.

Head of Service Aina commended the governor’s consistent commitment to workers’ welfare, describing it as evidence of his dedication to good governance.

In his response, Governor Adeleke expressed gratitude for the show of support, saying the rally reflected genuine love from workers. He reaffirmed his commitment to workers’ welfare as the core of his five-point agenda and urged them to mobilise for continuity of his administration through their votes.
