Two of Nigeria’s major domestic carriers, Air Peace and United Nigeria Airlines, have set their Christmas and New Year economy ticket prices at N350,500.

The new fares apply to popular southern routes as passenger demand is expected to surge during the festive season.

The routes affected include Lagos and Abuja flights to South East airports such as Owerri, Enugu and Anambra, as well as South South airports like Port Harcourt and Asaba. Inbound flights from these airports back to Lagos or Abuja are also listed at N350,500, according to details available on both airlines’ websites.

Air Peace will begin charging the new rate from December 1, 2025, and keep it in place until the end of January 2026. United Nigeria’s festive fares will start on December 11 and continue until December 31, 2025. After the New Year, the airline has adjusted its Abuja flights to Asaba, Anambra, Port Harcourt and Owerri to N150,000 from January 1, 2026.
Travelers heading to northern destinations face lower costs compared to the South. Air Peace has pegged Lagos to Kano tickets at about N106,900 for most days, though some dates still carry the N350,500 charge. United Nigeria has fixed its Lagos to Kano fare at N220,499 and kept it consistent across the board.
For passengers planning trips to Yola, Air Peace does not operate daily flights. On the days it does, however, the airline has set the same festive fare of N350,500.
The fare adjustment comes as Nigerians prepare for the busiest travel period of the year, with heavy traffic expected on southern routes where demand traditionally spikes during the holiday season.
