“You’re in PDP, but we’re scared of you,” Keyamo said. “The way you’re going, we don’t know how to defeat you. But we’ll keep planning.”

He went on to commend Mbah’s progressive leadership style and his administration’s infrastructure and development drive, saying, “Beyond party lines, we should not hesitate to say it — you’ve done well.”

Keyamo urged the Enugu State Government to ensure that Enugu Air operates independently of politics and red tape. “Run it professionally. Don’t let bureaucracy kill Enugu Air. Ensure your planes take off and land on time.”

The new state-owned airline is kicking off operations with three Embraer E170 and E190 jets, which are well-suited for regional travel and known for fuel efficiency and passenger comfort.

Its initial routes will connect Enugu, Lagos, and Abuja, with plans for future expansion to cities like Port Harcourt, Kano, Owerri, Benin, and other destinations within and outside Nigeria.
