Talks of his defection started spreading over the weekend, causing concern among residents and within political circles. But in response, Adeleke reassured the public that the speculation is false and should be ignored.

He restated his loyalty to the PDP, saying he remains the party’s leader in Osun State. According to him, the rumours are distractions that will not affect his plans or responsibilities.

Adeleke explained that his administration is focused on fulfilling its five-point development agenda, which includes improving infrastructure, boosting the economy, reforming education and healthcare, and supporting youth empowerment. He said he remains dedicated to the progress of the state and will not allow political distractions to slow down his work.

He urged residents of Osun and Nigerians to disregard the fake news and continue supporting the current government’s efforts to deliver real change. He said that the people’s trust in his leadership remains his priority and that he is working hard to justify their confidence.

Governor Adeleke’s firm rejection of the defection rumours appears to have calmed the tension surrounding the issue. As he continues his development programs, he made it clear that he is not going anywhere and that the PDP remains his political home.
