Ekiti College of Health In Over N200m debt, Ex-Sole Administrator  Under Probe For Engaging “ICT Expert” Involved In EKSU Payment Portal Fraud 

Former Sole Administrator of the College of Health Technology, Ijero Ekiti, Mrs. Folake Falore is allegedly being probed silently by the new Chairman of Governing Council and the new Provost of the College, Prof. Kehinde Oluwadiya and Dr. Cecelia Adebayo respectively, for allegedly disengaging the former e-payment service provider, Tortem Company and engaging controversial Ekiti State University (EKSU), Ado Ekiti Cyber Operator, Mayowa Sunday.

It should be recalled that records of payments of over 500 students of the Ekiti State University who allegedly paid their school fees through the school payment portal can not be found in the university’s bursary department despite being issued portal generated receipts by Mayowa Sunday, who works in the Bursary Department.

Source disclosed that the present Bursar of the College, Mrs. Bukola Alonge, was formerly working in the Bursary Department of EKSU and was brought to the College by the former sole administrator.

“The former Bursar, Mrs. Nike Fadipe was removed from office when her tenure had not expired to pave way for the new bursar.

The source said that ever since Mayowa was engaged to replace Tortem Company, the revenue of the College has been nosediving.

“Unknown to the State Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi,  her elder sister,  Mrs. Monisola Oloro, a former Chairman of Governing Council of the College, collaborated with the former sole administrator to ruin the College,” the source alleged.

On the state of the College,  the source said the college was now indebted to the tune of over N200 million.

“The former sole administrator did not inherit any debt but over N200 million debt was inherited by the new Provost.

“All course accreditations inherited by the former sole administrator have been lost. About 85 percent of the courses lost accreditation since 2019.

“Ekiti indigenes are now being deprived of opportunity to get admission to the College to study viable courses, with most of them  now leaving Ekiti State for neighbouring States like Kwara, and Osun,” the source lamented.
