S/West PDP Congress: Ekiti Chairman drums support for Eddy Olafeso; Says party leaders should be respected

Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ekiti State, Otunba Bisi Kolawole has called on PDP delegates in Ekiti to adopt the candidacy of one of the Aspirants in the just concluded PDP governorship primaries in Ondo state, Chief Eddy Olafeso in the forthcoming zonal Congress.

Addressing PDP delegates in Ado Ekiti while receiving Southwest delegation today, Kolawole assured the delegation of maximum support and his excos’ unrepentant loyalty to the party in Ekiti.

In his words, “Chief Olafeso can count on Ekiti delegates’ support at the congress. We all believe in his ability and capacity to lead the party in the zone to victories in future elections.”

Reacting to rumour making the round on the leadership tussle in the party, Kolawole said there is no leadership conflict in the southwest.

“We all know that Governor Makinde is the leader of the party in Southwest but it is worthy of note that each state has leaders whose decision in their respective states must be respected.”

Former deputy governor of Ekiti State, Prof. Kolapo Olusola Eleka who was present at the event welcomed the delegation to the state and admonished them to remember those who support them when they get to office.

Appreciating Ekiti state delegates, former South West PDP Chairman, Chief Eddy Olafeso promised not to disappoint the delegates if he eventually emerges as the zonal chairman of the party at the congress.

Also present at the gathering were BOT members, the state Exco members, the National delegates, former principal officers of house of assembly amongst others.
