A human rights activist, critic, public affairs analyst and author, Comrade Paul Ikechukwu Njoku, has urged a Nigerian televangelist, Pastor David Ibiyomie, the founder and senior Pastor of Salvation Ministeries in Portharcourt, Nigeria, to humbly emulate Pastor TB Joshua of the Synagogue Church of All Nations, Lagos, Nigeria, in the act of kindness, passion, tolerance, humility, love and forgiveness to his perceived critics, enemies and traducers.
According to the rights activist, a genuinely anointed man of God who is not a rabble-rouser and a business man in the pulpit do freely bless people with his tongue than laying frivolous and unproductive curses on individual (s).
“If there is any anointing in Pastor David’s tongue, let him use it to deliver the afflicted from the kingdom of darkness and bless people than laying empty curses on individuals with silly and death threat”, said Comrade Paul.
“How many times has he laid curses on the Fulani murderous herdsmen, Boko Haram terrorists and bandits who kill innocent Nigerians daily?”, Njoku asked.
Recall that in September 8, 2020, Pastor David Ibiyomie in a viral video during church service, accused a certain ‘Male On Air Television personality’ and presenter, Ifedayo Olarinde, pupolarly known as Daddy Freeze, of not having a father, adding that he is a bastard from Somalia.
The cleric lamented that Daddy Freeze insulted his father-in- the Lord, Bishop David Oyedepo, the founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide also known as Winners Chaple International.
“I cursed the day he was born”, “i will kill him”. “I will follow him physically and spiritually”. He does not look like us, this Somalian”. Does he have a father?”. “He has no good job, he is an ordinary broadcaster”. “He is not a Nigerian”. “I will arrest him”, “He is a bastard”.
Those were the words of Pastor David Ibiyomie against Daddy Freeze.
Investigation by our correspondent, gathered that Daddy Freeze’s parents are both Professors with various degrees in Law and Medicine.
Freeze’s father is Dr. A.G.A Olarinde who is a renowned Professor in Medical field while his mother is a Professor of Law. His father is a Nigerian while his mother is a Romanian.
It was indeed gathered that his father met his mother when he was pursuing his studies in Romanian. At the moment, his mother is the incumbent Vice-Chancellor of Afe Babalola University in Ado-Ekiti State of Nigeria.
Reacting, Comrade Njoku expressed disappointment in the words of Pastor David Ibiyomie.
“I am utterly disappointed in Pastor David Ibiyomie who allowes his personality traits to be punctured by unprovoked arrogance, falsehood, illusion and irrational pride unbecoming of a supposed genuine Man of God.
By their fruits we shall know them. He has proved to be in the category of some self acclaimed “Pastors” who do not possess characters worthy of emulation.
“When the likes of Pastor TB Joshua and his Evangelists, Disciples and the entire Emmanuel TV crew are busy using their anointed tongues to deeply deliver people all over the World of the Coronavirus pandemic through the “distance is not a barrier interactive prayer sessions” thereby changing Lives, changing Nations and Changing the World, Mr. David Ibiyomie, was proudly busy threathning to spritually and physically murder a fellow Nigerian on behalf of Bishop David Oyedepo of the Winners Chaple for “blasphemy”.
“Is there any difference between those who sought to kill for their gods in the name of blasphemy and Mr. David Ibiyomie?
“Ibiyomie should be told that the Bible in the book of Exodus 20:13, says “thou shall not kill”. He should be informed that book of Ephesians 4:29 instructed that: “let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth but that which is good for edification which may minister grace unto the hearers”.
“Ibiyomie should be educated that the Bible says in Galatians 3:28 that: “There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free nor is there male and female for you are all one in Christ Jesus”.
“Pastor David should also be advised to read his Bible in James 3:9-11, where the Bible says that: “With the tongue, we praise our Lord and Father”.
“His perceived critics, enemies and traducers must not be killed by him. I therefore urge Ibiyomie to go on his kneels and ask for God’s forgiveness, mercy and compassion. He must beg God to purge his insatiable pride and reckless utterances.
“He should kindly emulate Pastor TB Joshua who has suffered sever persecutions from the Nigerian government and some of her citizens. In all honesty, Mr. David should learn the TB Joshua’s type of tolerance, love, compassion, forgiveness, passion, kindness, and humility in order to prevail in God’s vineyard”, Njoku urged.
