Activist lawyer Deji Adeyanju has alleged that Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso are working in favour of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

Adeyanju made the allegation on Saturday while commenting on the political activities of the two politicians ahead of the election.

He claimed that supporting Obi or Kwankwaso in 2027 would indirectly benefit Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC), while urging Nigerians to consider the implications of their votes.
Adeyanju also linked his allegation to the 2023 presidential election, when Obi contested under the Labour Party (LP), while Kwankwaso was the presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP).

Adeyanju’s comments came amid ongoing political realignments and preparations by opposition politicians and parties ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Meanwhile, Obi recently said he would not insult or disrespect Tinubu, despite their political differences.
Speaking in Enugu, the former Anambra State governor said he had never engaged in personal attacks against the President and maintained that Tinubu deserved respect as the country’s sitting president.
Obi’s statement came as political parties and politicians continued to position themselves ahead of the 2027 presidential contest.
