The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, has released a procedure for candidates who have lost access to the phone numbers or email addresses linked to their profiles.

The board said the arrangement allows affected candidates to replace their registered SIM cards or change their email addresses so they can regain access to their profiles and receive important examination updates.

Access the JAMB e-Facility account using the candidate’s existing login details. - Select ‘Penalties’
From the e-Facility dashboard, select the ‘Penalties’ option. - Select SIM Swap/Email Change
Choose the ‘SIM Swap/Email Change Penalty Payment’ option under the Penalties section. - Pay the prescribed fee
Make the required payment through the JAMB portal. - Visit a designated JAMB office
After payment, visit a designated JAMB PTC/PRC Centre to continue the process. - Provide profile information
At the centre, provide the profile code and existing GSM number as required. - Complete biometric verification
The candidate must undergo biometric verification to confirm their identity. - Upload the affidavit
Upload a scanned copy of the court affidavit obtained earlier to complete the request.
JAMB said the service is meant for candidates with genuine cases involving loss of access to their registered phone numbers or email addresses.
The board also stated that the change can only be carried out once. Candidates are therefore expected to ensure that the new phone number or email address supplied during the process is correct.
