John Odey has been listed as the National Treasurer, with Mainasara Abubakar Sani named as the National Financial Secretary. Reuben Egwuaba is also listed as the party’s National Legal Adviser.

INEC indicated that the five leadership positions were updated by court order, while the commission’s website now displays the NDC’s modified logo and colour design.

The development followed a judgment by Justice J. O. Abdulmalik of the Federal High Court in Abuja in a case involving the NDC and INEC.

The case, filed under suit number FHC/ABJ/CS/1814/2026, concerned the party’s request for official recognition of its newly adopted logo and colour arrangement.

The NDC had challenged INEC’s earlier refusal to recognise and upload the logo adopted by the party after its first National Executive Committee meeting.

Justice Abdulmalik delivered judgment on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, ruling in favour of the political party.

The court held that INEC’s refusal to recognise the modified NDC logo was unconstitutional and illegal, and amounted to a violation of the rights of the party.

Following the judgment, INEC has now reflected the court-directed changes on its official platform, including the NDC’s new logo and the affected leadership positions.
