The Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has warned former Anambra State governor Peter Obi and former Vice President Atiku Abubakar to take their personal security seriously ahead of the 2027 general election.

Ayodele issued the warning in a video shared on X, alleging that unnamed individuals were looking for ways to harm or eliminate the two opposition politicians.

The cleric did not identify anyone behind the alleged plot or provide evidence to support the claim. He, however, urged Obi and Atiku to remain vigilant and take precautionary measures to protect themselves.
He said he believed the alleged plan would not succeed and called on both politicians to remain cautious about their security arrangements.

The warning comes as political activities ahead of the 2027 presidential election continue to gather momentum, with Atiku and Obi positioned on different political platforms.
Atiku is the presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), while Obi is the candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), according to the report.
Ayodele also directed a warning at President Bola Tinubu, advising him against travelling to the United States. The cleric alleged that there were efforts in America aimed at undermining the Nigerian president.
